GtkSpell provides word-processor-style highlighting and replacement of misspelled words in a GtkTextView widget. GtkSpell provides word-processor-style highlighting and replacement of misspelled words in a GtkTextView widget. Right-clicking a misspelled word pops up a menu of suggested replacements.

GtkSpell is pretty simple; including it in your program can be as simple as calling gtkspell_new_attach to attach GtkSpell to a GtkTextView. GtkSpell then watches modifications to the GtkTextView and tries to highlight the misspellings.
